Draft #7: The 538

Electoral College Proportions

To mark the upcoming election, I just created the first ever 538 Whiskey Blend. It includes a milliliter pour for each State's Electoral College vote.

I made just 538ml of it, and included a couple whiskeys not yet featured in the 50StateBlend.com Bottle Gallery.

(A guy's gotta be creative, even within tight constraints, right?)

Notably, I introduced a new, orange brandy barrel-finished California whiskey to the mix, Moylan's American Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky from Petaluma, and went with a five distillery Illinois Blend I created to represent my home State of Illinois.

I think you'll agree that it's kinda wild to see the proportion of electoral college votes represented by drops of whiskey. [See photos on the 50StateBlend Instagram account] Seven states and DC have just 3 ml each!

Draft #7 flavor profile is driven by proportions unrelated to whiskey and very much to do with representation by California, Texas, Florida, New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
